2020 was a year. As many others can relate, the pandemic brought with it a series of changes, speed bumps, and assessment. After parting ways with my corporate tech job, I was forced to slow down and embrace the unfamiliar and uncomfortable gift of time. Which didn’t last long. Not one for sitting still, I decided that I needed to find a hobby that I not only enjoyed but that I could share with others. I realized over the years I'd spend an absurd amount of time (and money) on candles that I only kinda liked, so I decided to try my hand at making my own.
After months of testing, mixing, smelling, soliciting feedback from my friends and family, and then testing some more, Polako was born. An exclusive batch of scents that have been curated to not only bring back memories of growing up at my family ranch, but that also personally bring me comfort and remind me to take it easy.
